Our Story

Specialty Toys Australia was founded by a desire to ensure that children have the opportunity to learn through play and that learning is a fun part of everyday life. Being owned and operated by professional early educators and teachers, means that our quality toys are child centred, inspiring and educational. In consultation with therapists we have also sourced quality resources to assist with intervention and therapy, whilst focusing on helping children’s early learning and development.

Specialty Toys Australia has over 1,000 unique and affordable learning resources and this range continues to grow with research and as new products become available. Every product is carefully selected for its unique learning opportunities to ensure that children are always learning and developing. Our products focus on providing open-ended play to inspire life long learners. Our range includes, naturally sourced wooden toys, resources for therapy and intervention, a specialist sensory range to help with regulation, toys to improve fine and gross motor skills, as well as an extensive range of educational Montessori products.

Our motto is ‘Every day presents with new opportunities to Learn’ and our focus is on providing those opportunities through our mission to make sure that, ‘Learning occurs from and during Play’. We are working with child care centres , schools, therapy agents and parents to provide the best quality and range. We are always willing to discuss teaching ideas with educators, teachers, therapists and parents.
